Key Attributes:

The Sales Manager will be a highly motivated, dynamic person with excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to engage with clients and colleagues with ease. They will be a self-starter with the ability to take initiative and possess good decision-making skills. The Sales Manager will have excellent attention to detail and high guest service standards. Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role is required. Previous use of Opera is an added benefit.

Key Duties & Objectives

  • Drive all profitable revenue across all segments
  • Support the Meetings, Events and Wedding Team with conversion of enquiries within the agreed escalation threshold
  • Devise, execute and own a detailed and targeted Sales and Marketing Plan for the Resort and Account Development Plans for your Portfolio of Managed Accounts
  • Produce reports with analysis of performance against forecast and budget, along with outlook for the weeks/months ahead whilst providing a summary of all activities, successes, opportunities, threats and market intelligence
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with other areas of the Resort to ensure that relevant strategy is understood and aligned
  • Perform day to day sales activity including lead generation, sales calls, contracting and rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade shows and client entertaining
  • Identify opportunities and cross sell to the wider Sandman Hotel Group
  • Support the UK&I Sales Team with Special Projects and Group Sales Team activities
  • Allocate sales and segment territories to the Senior Sales Executive to ensure existing business is maintained and new business is developed
  • To ensure the accurate processing, distribution, recording/filing and follow up of all sales correspondence, including the execution of contracts, quotations, confirmations, cancellations, etc.
  • Utilise CRM system for client database building
  • Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity

You are:

  • A result orientated Sales Manager with a passion for hospitality and interacting with people
  • A first-class networker and communicator with excellent project management skills and an eagle eye of identifying new opportunities
  • A commercially astute, analytical multi-tasker who is motivated by a challenge with a proven track record of creating and executing strategic plans
  • Proactive with a hands-on approach with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels, driving results for the business
  • Detailed and analytical, able to interpret data and present results to stakeholders and at a senior level
  • Strong knowledge and experience in dealing with the International and Domestic MICE markets
