We now have an excellent opportunity for a professional Meetings and Events Manager to join our Sales team. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for the coordination of conference and banqueting events and the effective detailed communication of these events to the operations team.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Liaise with clients to oversee the development, coordination and delivery conferences, meetings and private events.
  • To produce detailed function sheets for each event and to send out in a timely fashion - to then work in collaboration with our operations team to ensure the delivery of the event exceeds our client's expectations
  • To communicate, maintain and develop new and existing client relationships
  • Manage operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently
  • Ensuring excellent customer service at all times
  • To work as part of the sales team; to contribute to and assist senior management in promoting hotel goals
  • Ensure there is effective communication of all events to all hotel departments
  • Liase closely with the operations team including working alongside C&B Manager, F&B Outlet Manager and Executive Head Chef during Weddings and Events.
  • To promote sell-up opportunity, up-sell of F&B outlets as appropriate

Ideal candidate:

  • Experience in a similar role is required
  • Knowledge of Opera V5/Opera Cloud or a similar system is required
  • Passion, energy, enthusiasm
  • Have a real understanding of a hotel events department
  • The ability to work effectively whilst prioritising multiple tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills with excellent spoken & written English
  • Previous 4/5* hotel experience
  • Have a structured and organized approach to work planning
